From steppe to skein: how we source.
Every yarn we supply starts with fiber raised freely across the Mongolian steppe. From there, it’s your choice: pick from an established shade library, or have raw fiber dyed to your exact Pantone, then spun to the count your design calls for.
Free-range fiber, nomadic craft.
Every fiber we work with — cashmere, yak, camel, and Sartuul sheep wool — comes from animals raised the traditional Mongolian way: free-ranging across the open steppe, never farmed. Nomadic herders manage and move the herds year-round, following the seasons across one of the last great grazing landscapes on earth.
Choose your path
Work from around 150 ready shades across our fibers, available from 1kg. Or source raw fiber and have it dyed to any Pantone shade, opening up several thousand possible colors.
Spun to your count
Once dyed, fiber is spun into yarn at the count your design calls for — from finer counts like 2/26 to heavier counts like 1/12 or 1/16, depending on the weight and drape you need.
Certified to your standard
Our suppliers hold a range of certifications, from local sustainability programs to international standards like the Sustainable Fibre Alliance, up to the rigorous traceability standards used by some of the world’s most exacting luxury houses. Which one matters most usually depends on what your own clients value — we’re always happy to walk through the differences and help you find the right fit.

Cashmere
The benchmark for softness and light weight. Fine cashmere sits in the 14 to 19 micron range, with the finest qualities prized for their exceptional softness and drape.
Yak
A rougher, warmer hand than cashmere, with real character. Yak down is estimated to run around 30% warmer than merino wool at the same weight, thanks to its natural crimp and loft.
Camel
Combed from the animal’s natural moult, never shorn. The fine undercoat sits close to cashmere-level softness, with a distinct, slightly rustic character.
Sartuul Sheep
A rare Mongolian breed raised in one of the coldest inhabited regions on earth. The extreme climate produces an unusually fine, cashmere-like undercoat — a genuine point of difference almost no other supplier can offer.
